Whitby Regatta is England’s oldest sea regatta and one of the town’s most loved traditions.
The event is run entirely by volunteers and relies on community support to continue.
We’re always delighted to welcome new volunteers to be part of Regatta weekend.
Regatta Ambassadors are the friendly, welcoming face of the event. They help visitors find their way, answer questions and support a safe, enjoyable atmosphere around the harbour.
Volunteer Leaders supervise Regatta Ambassadors and act as a link between volunteers and Regatta HQ. This role suits people who are confident, organised and enjoy responsibility.
No previous experience is required.
We aim to be flexible and place volunteers where they feel comfortable.
If you’d like to volunteer at Whitby Regatta, please complete our sign-up form or contact us directly.
By volunteering, you are helping preserve one of Whitby’s most important traditions for future generations.
